We are encouraging all members to follow us on WhatsApp. We will use this channel for all sorts of day-of-event communications.
You’ll need to get the WhatsApp app if you do not already have it. And you’ll need to follow our channel. Should be pretty easy! Free, good privacy. We hope everyone signs up.
Our “Phase I” WhatsApp is a one way broadcast channel from our event managers to players. Followers cannot comment on the channel. You’ll get day of event info (delays, changes in tee times, rainouts), as well as rules for the day, where we are for scorekeeping , etc.
Notifications are muted by default. You should turn notifications on.
Let us know you’ve joined the channel if you can. We can’t always tell who is on the channel and who is not. We only know if you are in our contact list, or if you tell us.
Our Phase II WhatsApp is a more interactive, community based platform. We’ll deploy that depending on your feedback.
