Introducing the GTGP Club Championships
New for this year, the low gross scores in the 2-round Tour Championship will determine the Men’s, Women’s and Men’s Senior Gross Club Champions. Rules will be provided including age limits, tee boxes and other qualifiers.
Of course the Gross Club Championships are in addition to the Season Long Point Race based on low net results and the 36-hole Low Net Tour Championship
Prizes for the season long point race are expanded this year and now go from 1st to 6th place. Previously, the payout was for the top 3 players.
Weekly prize money also gets a bump. Now $6 x size_of_field goes to the top 3 low net winners each week.
And we are working on the setting for this year’s end match play. Top 16 players in the point race qualify for the 2 day, 36-hole match play event in early October. Expenses are partially offset by GTGP. Players are expected to pay a share of their greens fees & hotel costs for the weekend.
We’ll reevaluate in 2027 how sustainable these increases are. We run a pretty tight budget but we are in good shape which allows us to amp up these prizes. Of course being an amateur league, all prizes are awarded as credits to your account to use at a future event.
